# Participation rules

**By entering a race you accept these rules**

They are the same for all our races. Everything specific to one event — the exact start time, the cut-off, age limits, race pack collection — is stated on that event's page and in its documents. Where a general rule and an event's own regulations disagree, the regulations win.

## Who can take part

Each distance has its own age limit, written on its card on the event page. Age counts as of race day.

We assume you are healthy and ready for the effort. Judging that is your responsibility — nobody will do it for you. If an event's regulations require a medical certificate, its documents say so.

A participant under 18 starts with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

## Entry and your place on a distance

- Entry only through an account on this site
- Your profile must have country, date of birth and gender
- One distance per event
- Places are limited; the counter is on the distance card
- On a paid distance the place is secured once you have paid
- Your details must be real — the results protocol is built from them

Until the payment goes through you are not entered: the place is not yet yours and may go to someone else.

## Team distances

A team distance has a composition: how many people are in the team and how many of them are men and women. It is written on the distance card — look for the hint next to the number of runners.

- To enter you must belong to a team
- The captain approves requests to join
- The team starts in the composition it entered with
- The captaincy can be handed to another member

## Payment and refunds

The entry fee is paid by card on the site. The price depends on the distance and may differ for participants from Tajikistan and from other countries — the current amount is always on the distance card.

- No later than 14 days before the start — the fee is refunded in full
- After that deadline the fee is not refunded
- If the organiser cancels or reschedules — a full refund

Send the request to [arm.marathon.tj@gmail.com](mailto:arm.marathon.tj@gmail.com): your first and last name as in your profile, the account e-mail, the event and distance, the date and amount of the payment. The money goes back to the same card it came from. A race pack already collected is not refundable.

## Race pack and bib

Where and when packs are handed out is on the event page. You collect the pack yourself, with photo identification. Whether packs are given out on race day is stated in the event's regulations.

- The bib is pinned at the front, on the chest or stomach
- The bib must be fully visible: do not fold or trim it
- The bib is personal and cannot be passed to anyone else
- One participant — one bib and one timing chip

No bib, no start. If you cannot be identified at the checkpoints, the result will not be counted.

## The start

Come to the start area early — the schedule is on the event page. If the start is split into corrals, line up in yours: they are arranged by distance and expected pace, and moving into someone else's gets in everyone's way.

## On the course

- Stay on the marked course, do not cut corners
- Follow the instructions of officials, volunteers and medics
- Overtake on the left and do not stop dead in the flow
- Leave litter at the aid stations and bins
- Once you leave the course, do not rejoin it

Aid stations and medical points are spread along the distance; their positions are in the event's regulations.

## What is not allowed

- Running on someone else's bib or without one
- Cutting the course or skipping sections of it
- Using two bibs or two timing chips
- Being paced by people who are not entered in the race
- Being accompanied by bicycle, scooter or roller skates
- Bringing animals or prams onto the course
- Flying drones over the course or the finish area

Headphones are not banned, but keep the volume low enough to hear officials and runners coming up behind you. On distances with a prize classification an event's regulations may forbid them outright.

## Cut-off and withdrawing

Every distance has a cut-off time, stated in the event's regulations. After it the course reopens to normal traffic, and runners outside the limit move to the pavement or ride to the finish in the sweeper vehicle.

If you decide to stop, tell the nearest volunteer or official and take off your bib. This matters: otherwise you will be searched for on the course.

The medical team may take a participant off the course if continuing is unsafe. That decision is not argued about on the course.

## Results and disqualification

Time is recorded by chip. In the protocol each participant carries either a result or a "did not finish" or "disqualified" mark.

You will be disqualified for:

- Someone else's bib, or running without one
- Cutting the course or skipping sections
- Two bibs or two chips
- Being paced by people outside the race
- Rudeness to officials, volunteers or other runners

The protocol is public: name, surname, country, team and result are visible to everyone. Finishers get a personal certificate — it appears in your profile and only you can see it.

## Weather, cancellation and rescheduling

If the weather or circumstances make starting unsafe, the organiser may move the time, shorten the distance, change the route or cancel the event. We announce the decision on the site and by e-mail.

If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, the entry fee is refunded in full.

## Photos and video

Photographers and camera operators work at our races. By taking part you agree that photos and video featuring you may appear on the site, in event reports and on our social media. If you would rather not appear in them, write to us and we will take them down.

## Responsibility

Taking part is voluntary. You are responsible for your own condition on the course and for your belongings. The organiser is responsible for preparing the course, for the officials and the medical service, and for following the regulations.

Breaking these rules can end in disqualification and, in serious cases, in a refusal to accept your entry to future races.

## Still have questions

Look at the event page first: it carries the schedule, the documents and answers to common questions. If what you need is not there, write to [arm.marathon.tj@gmail.com](mailto:arm.marathon.tj@gmail.com) or call [+992 915 47 78 78](tel:+992915477878).
